They said the more the merrier, but many parents (especially mothers) wonder about that when it comes to having twins. Having two babies that are in the same age as each other can provide unique challenges that may be quite a handful for parents overcome. You would need to make special considerations when it comes to accessories, and equipment that you purchase.
This is simply because you would have to consider that you are finding equipment for two children. Going the traditional route would be inadequate and buying two of a single item can be costly, and bulky. With that said, if you are the parent of twins or are expecting twins to be on the way, one of the best accessories that you can buy now would be a double jogging stroller.
A double jogging stroller is basically a jogging stroller that has seats that are made for two children. Like many jogging strollers, they are built so that you would be able to do light running exercises even if you are with both of your children.
Now that I have explained what it is, here are reasons why a double jogging stroller would be the perfect accessory for your twins:
Takes up Smaller Storage Space than purchasing separate strollers:
If you want to take both of your children on jogging trips, you have the option of buying 2 separate strollers for them. You can then just place then on the two strollers and do your jogging. However, the problem with this is what happens after the jog. Having two separate strollers would mean you would need to find storage for both of them. This could be a problem for homes with smaller storage areas.
On the other hand, a double jogging stroller already has two seats in a single stroller. This means you would not have to purchase two separate ones. Yes, it is a bit larger than a single stroller, but it certainly takes up a smaller storage area if you compare it with two single strollers.
You can go solo!
This is somewhat related to the first reason. While you can get two separate strollers, just imagine the hassles of taking them with you when you decided to jog alone.
With a double jogging stroller, you would be able to go out and bring both of your children, even if y our partner is not available to go with you.
No Favoritism:
If you only have a single jogging stroller, then there would be times when you would have to make a choice as to which child you would take on your jogging trips. The problem with this is that your children may construe your choices as favoritism towards the other child.
A double jogging stroller helps you get around this by allowing you to take both of them in your trips! Another benefit is that since no children would stay behind, you don’t need to hire or ask anyone to stay home and supervise them while you go on your exercise routes.
While there are plenty more reasons why a double jogging stroller is the perfect accessory for parents with twins, those stated above should already entice you to get one for them!
