As you may already know, there are many kinds of strollers that are available in the market. For example, aside from the basic strollers, there are jogging strollers, which are then further divided into single jogging strollers or double jogging strollers.

Amazingly, there are even classifications for double jogging strollers. There are the usual side by side strollers, and then there are the tandem jogging strollers. For parents who have more than 1 child, it would be great for them if they would be well informed about their options when it comes to double jogging strollers.

Questions about this new style would usually revolve around “what exactly are the tandem style double jogging strollers?” as well as knowing how a tandem stroller would be able to help them care for their babies while engaging in some form of exercise.

What are tandem style double jogging strollers?

Tandem style double jogging strollers are those strollers that have row like seating instead of the side by side seating arrangement that traditional double jogging stroller have.

There are actually a couple of types for it. The first is that the seats are of similar size, and are merely arranged in a straight row manner. These are perfect for twins or for children that were born just a year or two apart.

The other type is the one where the seats are a bit different. The front seat is usually similar to the traditional seats used in other jogging strollers, but the back seat has some modifications. It is made so that a child can actually stand up on it. This is an ideal setup for parents who have children that are more than a couple of years apart.

What are the benefits of tandem style double jogging strollers?

As mentioned above, if you purchased the type where you have an area for an older child and a seat for the younger child, then you would be able to take both of them in the trip without anyone getting or too cramped up. You would not be able to do this in the conventional jogging strollers, as the seats would usually be good for children who are aged or sized similarly.

Another benefit is that having a row seating set up would help avoid clashes by the two children. Sometimes, when seated side by side, the children are more inclined to get into each other’s nerves.

Lastly, the tandem stroller is usually much narrower than the traditional side by side double jogging strollers. This means that you would now be able to fit inside the halls or aisles that you usually frequent, even if you are bringing a double jogging stroller with you.
