As the name implies, a double jogging stroller is used for training. Specifically, it is used for jogging while you have your two children with you. Of course, there are some parents who would simply use it for leisurely walks around the park, but that does not fully maximize the use of your baby equipment. Always remember that a double jogging stroller has been made to be tough enough to be able to handle a fast pace, so you should try running with it.

The problem usually lies in the fact that parents are just not sure how a double jogging stroller would actually perform when they are jogging. They do not know which are normal, and which warning signs show that the stroller is already underperforming or even dangerous.

To be able to help these parents, here are some guides about using a double jogging stroller while running or jogging:

Stability:

A double jogging stroller should be able to withstand some rough terrain as you move. That means that increasing the pace should not make the stroller wobbly or unstable. This makes the stroller capable of handling your increased pace.

However, you should remember that there are variations to the stability of a double jogging stroller. The better ones are able to handle tougher terrain while some cheaper versions might not be able to handle it as well as the good ones.

Braking:

A good double jogging stroller should be able to stop on a dime without risking your children being thrown out of the carriage. There are various brakes that are usually included in jogging strollers such as handbrakes and foot brakes.

You should be able to test them to see if they can really stop or slow down the jogging stroller while it is in motion.

Storage areas:

When it comes to storage, a good double jogging stroller should be able to do these two things:

The first is that the under the seat storage compartment should not hinder your stroller’s movement. There are some storage areas that are made with a soft shell that hits the ground and makes your stroller not move as fluidly as possible.

The next is that the storage compartments should be able to contain all of your items without risk of them falling onto the floor as you jog. You could look for storage trays that have Velcro covers or zippers to ensure that your items are secure in the stroller.

Of course there are still other factors that you have to consider about double jogging strollers. Those mentioned above are just those that are commonly affecting the way your stroller performs when you start jogging with them.
