Double jogging strollers have come a long way since they were first introduced. Yes, they still carry two children but it seems that this is the only feature retained since their first inception. Nowadays, you would be able to see a double jogging stroller with so many bells and whistles that can make it confusing for people who want to purchase them.
That’s why it is important to consider a couple things before you make your purchase. After all, a double jogging stroller is an investment, and you don’t want it to simply go down the drain because you purchased something that you would not benefit from.
Your Budget:
The primary consideration of course, is just how much money you can afford to spend. Double jogging strollers, even the most basic ones, can get quite expensive. Having no idea on what your budget is can make you overspend.
Knowing the limitations of your budget can help you focus on which features you would want to spend on as well as those things that you can just skip.
Your living area:
Remember that the double jogging strollers have varying widths. They are significantly larger than single strollers if that is what you are used to. You should first think about the places that you would frequent in your house and check if the double stroller would fit in them.
Related to this, you should also think about how small and compact the double jogging stroller that you are planning to purchase would be once it’s folded. Remember that there are some versions that can really fold up nicely, while there are some that don’t fold as well as others.
How much or how often you would be using the double jogging stroller:
As with any equipment, double jogging strollers are also prone to wear and tear. Purchasing a tough and durable stroller would be great if you plan on using it regularly.
However, you could probably save some money if you purchase a double jogging stroller that is not as tough. This is of course good if you are not really planning on giving the stroller heavy or repeated use.

If you want to pass through city streets, paved roads, and do lots of turning and maneuvering then you should probably look at double jogging strollers that have front swivel wheels. This are the types that are easier to move around and turn with.
However, if you want a more stable jogging stroller for faster paced jogging, then you should probably go for ones that feature front locked wheels. They are more stable even if you pass through rough terrain or increase the speed of your jog.
