Why a Double Jogging Stroller is Safer than a Conventional Double Stroller.
If you have two kids and want to get them out for some fresh air everyday while you get some great exercise, you can’t go wrong with a double jogging stroller.
The stroller itself was a marvelous invention. We should probably thank William Kent, an English architect, for this since he was allegedly the inventor of the baby carriage in 1733, a forerunner of the stroller.
At any rate, whichever inspired genius came up with the idea of any sort of a wheeled apparatus to ride babies around in deserves a medal, because carriages and strollers have been of immeasurable benefit to parents and children the world over!
But, while conventional strollers are ever so nice, jogging strollers are even nicer.
Why?
Because they’re safer than regular strollers.
Jogging strollers are built to be jogged with, so it stands to reason that they’re sturdier and built with more safety features for little passengers than strollers designed for a leisurely walk in the park.
Whereas a conventional stroller is constructed for a stroll through the mall, or a similar laid-back activity, a jogging stroller has to be made to ride smoothly and safely over rough terrains of all types, as well as be safe and comfortable at a fast rate of speed.
This applies to double jogging strollers, especially, as they are designed to carry two children safely and comfortably.
The suspension, braking system, shock absorbency, larger wheels and five point harness system of a double jogging stroller is of necessity more safety conscious than a conventional stroller made for light use.
Even if you aren’t interested in actually jogging with a double jogging stroller, the enhanced safety features alone make it a better buy for you and your kids than a regular, run-of-the-mill stroller.
You might compare double jogging strollers to the old ads for Timex watches: They take a licking and keep on ticking!
A double jogging stroller with its sturdy, heavy duty construction is built to withstand rigorous use and rugged paths.
So, it’s easy to see why you could certainly expect to get a lot of miles out of it—many more than a lighter weight, less substantially constructed conventional double stroller.
If you’re in the market for a double stroller and want a good return on your investment, you’d be well advised to buy a double jogging stroller!
